I officially feel bad for Gov. Palin
I watched the Katie Couric interview and started feeling bad for her. She cannot, as a mother of 5 and Gov. of Alaska, be this stupid can she? Her experience with Russian diplomacy is Putin flying in Alaska's air space??? The McCain ticket kept her hiding for a month, killed her confidence and then released her to the Big 3's anchors. Like Ed Rollins said last night on CNN, they killed her spirit. Poor Sarah....

I'm a very sympathetic guy - probably to fault... and this poor woman really deserves some sympathy...
as I said yesterday, she might be more ignorant than bu$h - if that's possible...
she seems to actually believe being able to see Russian from her house gives her foreign policy experience - I mean she really seems to believe it..

being ignorant does not make her worthy of sympathy
maybe pity

FYI - Wasilla is smaller than Haslett. It essentially consists of strip malls along a highway leading in/out of Anchorage.

you're not sexist...
feeling bad for someone when their ignorance is put on display for all to see just makes you human - and a good person.

She is an idiot. The idiots who picked her are idiots. The idiots who believed in her are idiots. The idiots who apologized for her or made excuses for her or defended her when all common sense said they were wrong are idiots.
I, as a proud and liberal American, am happy to see her roast in her own idiot stew.

while I don't disagree with you from a political standpoint and from the standpoint of someone who loves their country....
on a very basic human level, I do hate to see someone publicly humiliated...

Considering her house is in Wasilla (unless they have a house on the coast of the Bearing Strait she hasn't mentioned) she must be using a high powered telescope to see Russia. It's at lease a few hundred miles, with a mountain range inbetween, just to the Bearing Sea. Another Caribou Barbie lie?

She deserves neither. She should have known what she was getting into when accepting the nomination.
The lipstick is coming off the pig now.

Why feel bad for her? By all accounts the beauty queen has lived a fairly charmed life. After all, her consolation prize is that she goes back to being Governor of Alaska. Not too shabby.

There are few people who can come from a small town, win a beauty contest or two, attend 5 colleges, in six years to get an undergrad degree with no explanation and figure out how to support her family through politics.
Palin's failing is not knowing her limitations. That is what makes her dangerous, not a subject for pity.

will you guys ever get somebody in office who speaks normal? That Palin chick sounds like a dumb, drunk, bitch from Fargo. Actually kinda like the two hookers that Buschemi bangs.

If she didn't know, then someone around her should have known that she wasn't ready.
But much of the blame has to lie with McCain. His vetting process was obviously lacking. Plus, he only had one substantial conversation with her, which was when he offered her the gig. His people should have asked her about her views on all the major issues and would have quickly learned that she didn't have the foundation for the job.
Of course, the caveat is that the religious right may have forced McCain to take her. If this is true, then McCain deserves what he gets for throwing away his principles to try to get elected.

CBS confirmed today that when Putin or Russian officials actually do come to the US, they travel East across the Atlantic. The closest they come to Alaska is during takeoff and landing.

Can it get any worse...She has a month to figure out the answer to the diplomacy/russia nextdoor question and all they come up with is "Alaskas Air space" and that's not even true ...Who the hell is running McCain's campaign???
