So what do so many Americans have against peace and prosperity?

Because its obvious that somewhere around 40% of them are going to vote for a candidate that offers the US a chance to achieve neither if he gets into office.

Fortunately more seem to favor the one that offers a better chance of the US achieving these things under his watch. But honestly....40% or so of Americans really want a country in financial crisis and in an seemingly unending war to continue for the next 4-8 years? Seems to me like offered if the chance between these choices it would be a no brainer and the spread would be something more like 99% to 1%.

Guess I underestimated the # of people who truly enjoy being poor and seeing Americans killed in a badly run war.
