Except Obama was not turned down for the law school of his choice. In fact he was given a scholarship. Meanwhile Bush2's undergrad academics were so underwhelming he was denied admission to University of Texas Law school and got into his Ivy League MBA program the same way he got into his Ivy League undergrad via the legacy route.
Keep living in your dreamworld and please support Palin for President. Send her lots of money danb, lots of money. Give 'till it hurts.

He made a mistake. As opposed to Palin who said that she can see Russia from her house as qualification for foreign policy experience. Give me a break.

I don't know where you got the Palin quote regarding seeing Russia and that equaled qualifications for foriegn policy experience but I'll assume for the sake of arguement that it is true and accurate (I doubt it but...). As a conservative, I am embarrassed that someone that made that comment would be put forth as a candidate to represent me. Equally, I cannot imagine that you would call VP Biden's comments as a "mistake" and worse try to pass that off as not a red flag. He is either lying or he is incompetent. Either way, it should give you great pause in supporting him. This isn't an isolated incident with him either.
BTW, if you are arguing between choosing the best of two evils then so be it. I get that, but to somehow try to twist VP Biden into some great leader puts a serious dent in your credibility. Just in case you cared about that.

I loved that argument during the election. A state with more moose and polar bears than people qualified her to be VP of the US.
By that twisted, pathetic logic, the mayor Jacksonville is more qualified than the Mayor of NYC because it's all about land mass. Alaska is less populated than 18 US cities.
a fail even fail bob would consider an epic fail.

Huh? You are confusing the admissions office for the academy. Legacy admissions were primarily invented to serve the rich and privileged. Do you really think that George W. Bush got into the Ivy League on merit?

RQA gets his head bashed in and the only thing he can gag out is "strawman".
Like I said RQA, belly up to the bar and start writing checks to the Palin Pacs.

She said "You can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska".

That's awesome, but it wasn't the question.
He was wondering what unique insight the proximity to Russia gave her.

Most Governors don't have much foreign policy experience so they latch onto anything they can. The only things that they can point to are foreign trade junkets and being the head of their state's National Guard.
The only appreciable extra insight would be perhaps being privy to additional briefings of attempted Russian penetration of Alaskan Airspace.

Again, that's awesome, but she was trying to bolster her foreign policy credentials by citing the ability to physically see Russia from her state.
I love how you continue to defend her, and Republicans continue to act like she is a viable candidate.

I love how you feel the need to continue to try to demonize and attack her. She's not running in 2012 - she's out hustling for money and collecting favors by campaigning and raising funds.
The Russia line is typical of Governors when they try to bolster their meager foreign policy experience.

What is it with you people and your "qualifications"? Do you vote for the person with the longest "resume"? If so you would have voted for Nixon over JFK and Bush-1 over Clinton to name just a couple of obvious ones.
The real issue is your hatred of Sarah Palin.

By you?

Please read the posts before responding.
The question is not whether or not legacy admissions exist now or did in the past. It is also not whether or not W got by legacy.
GRR's strawman was that white males support legacy. They don't, they support merit. If you want to get rid of legacy go and talk to the Mary Sue Coleman's of the world, not white males.
