The failed Obama presidency tanked at an unprecedented ludicrous speed.

One can only marvel at the ineptitude.

Are you saying it's not alarming and damning that his approval index has steadily dropped from 70 to 55 and his disapproval index has jumped from 12 to 38..and both indices were as close as 51 to 43 as recently as last week? Is that a promising trend for the Obama administration?? What about if/when the mid-term elections go widely in favor of the Republicans? Would that be another positive trend for the POTUS?

Now I'm not going to say that Obama has "tanked" like the OP did because there is a lot of time for him to turn things around...but to ignore the concept that things are going poorly for him right now is to ignore the obvious.

Or to ignore the usual media-generated popularity swings that keep them in business.

Neither alarming nor damning. He won 53% of the popular vote. His approval rating is almost exactly the same.

Given the difficult decisions that have had to be made to deal with this recession, I'll take a 55%!

It's called whistling passed the graveyard.

Oh, and he's tanked alright. Domestically, internationally, as CIC, as a uniter, as a post partisan politcian, as a transparant politician, you name it, he's tanked.

Fixed it for you.

Maybe if you had the ability to do more than just cut and paste partisan articles you'd see that while not perfect (I've got my own complaints with the President) he's definitely achieved more successes than failures. Foreign policy wise he's repaired the US's image abroad, resulting in a safer America and brought more pressure to the Middle East to reform thanks to the Cairo speech. He's modernized the missile defense program to be something that addresses actual threats today, not the big scary USSS Bush and Co will imagined. Domestically we just had huge economic growth the last quarter and brought us out of the recession thanks to his stimulus plan, which also saved and created a million jobs. He's brought us to the brink of much needed health care reform too. It is not his fault the Republicans refuse to engage in any bipartisanship even though he's reached out.

He's no perfect, on a scale of 1-10 my job approval rating would be 6.5 or 7, but to call him an "epic fail" is nothing more than an epic fail of your own.

So, the same righties who were praising bush because he "didn't listen to the polls" are now calling Obama a failure because his poll numbers are going down?

That is serious "stupid".

You don't get it, GWB was "brave" and "principled" for doing what he wanted despite a 25% approval rating, Obama is "tanking" and "pandering" because his rating is in the mid-50s.

Lets try an accurate, honest appraisal:

Close Gitmo...on track, will happen as soon as a destination for remaining inmates is chosen
Government healthcare......on track, will happen by the end of the year
Get out of Iraq.......on track and matching campaign promises
Repair international image.....yes, see Nobel prize, etc.
Have a transparent administration....far more transparent
Created jobs..........yes, just announced over 600K saved or created
Saved the economy.........signs of growth (the economy grew the last quarter) and recovery occurring
Had a beer with a professor and a cop.......yes

Do you even read the news?

But but but, he should have done ALL of that by now, PLUS cured all cancers, ended world hunger, world poverty, and war, defeated Satan, and last but certainly not least rescued a cat from a tree.

Healthcare is not being fixed. Healthcare is being taken over, if that is your opinion of fixed than so be it, but the campaign was focused on getting the uninsured insurance, not a government take over.

Personally I find that to be the largest issue, and it has soured me on the President.

and the troops are leaving Iraq to Afghanistan, he is just dragging his feet on it.

How much did we spend for 600K jobs? How many of those are not in the private sector? What is the umemployment rate again?

Here's a description of his campaign promises. It looks to me like those are actually being scaled back, not increased.

You might find it interesting that the stimulus is doing just what the macroeconomics models predicted it would (see growth in the last quarter), which doesn't include immediate lowering of the unemployment rate. Are you arguing for a larger stimulus? I somehow doubt you want that.

I can see where you get your news, you should try to learn the truth about these things.
Gitmo is not going anywhere for awhile.
The US will be in Iraq for the next 10 years
The Obama administration has been more secretive about their legislation then any administration in history.
The data they generated their saved jobs include a places like a daycare that reported 250 jobs created, when they actually reduced employees.
Lets see how the economy does in the next quarter.
