That said, you are right. Eventually the Gov. is going to find a way to take money from people based on what they eat.
Now, if we could get the airlines to charge by the pound!

Don't they already charge extra for big people on airlines? Like more than one seat?

I have heard that done before for massive people yes. However, I am talking about actually paying by the pound. Get your ass on a scale and pay the amount per pound. If you are a fat ass, well, bring your AMEX. You are going to need it.

I have a BMI of 22, run, eat well, and take care of myself, however no I don't want to tax obese people. I am also not a smoker and don't want to continue to slap taxes on smokers. Now charging obese people for 2 seats on an airplane? Yes I'm in favor. Banning smoking in public places so the non smokers are not subjected to second hand smoke, go for it...and by god I am not going to pay for their healthcare because they can't afford it due to them not taking care of themselves. If they go bankrupt as a result of their bad decision making, so be it.

I say we base the airline rate and health care insurance premium on the individuals capacity to deliver oxygenated blood to the working tissues on the cellular level.
the higher the max VO2, the lower the rate... last I was tested, I was around 64 ml/kg/min
of course, some might argue that the ability to tolerate blood lactate and buffer the hydrogen ions from the blood would be a better measure of fitness... maybe being able to demonstrate shifting the oxyhemoglobin disassociation curve dramatically to the right would suffice.
I don't know.. I just know that I'm down with a Cash for Chunkers program.

Last night I farted while I was outside raking leaves. And I thought to myself that the liberals would probably try to tax me for that fart.

They should also charge more for health insurance for those with a family history of heart disease and cancer.
