Hmmm. Gold Hits Record High
More evidence of the Decline and Fall of the US ($USD).
Gold futures head toward $1,100, hitting records - MarketWatch
Who is betting with the US? Good luck with that bet. Gold is a bet that things will get worse and that is where my money is.
And people on this board think it matters who gets elected...Ha!

I just bought the NOV Put spread in GLD 106-103 for $1.00. I hoping your thread marks a short term market top.

Lesser of two evils. And you can add a dash of hope (maybe he would change things), that has been quickly crushed out. Change for the worse is what we get.
We are a country of Cowards, Ass-coverer's and Can Kickers.
I'm shorting the USA into 2015 or later. Perhaps by then we will have had a revolution. I like the idea of local communities, not big government.

While I've disagreed with amost everything you've ever posted, I've always respected your intelligence. The fact that you were actually duped into being one of the "hope and change" drones really makes one wonder...

So what exactly is this "revolution" about?
What are people going to revolt "for" and "against"?
In your opinion, what would a "new America" stand for?
Are multi-national corporations still going to be the most powerful players in economics and policies?
Please elaborate.

Can you read? "Lesser of two evils" is right there in the post you quoted.
Do you think there was a single Obama voter in the country who wasn't "duped into being one of the 'hope and change' drones? Is that within the realm of possibility?
The fact that you can't even acknowledge the possibility that some intelligent people looked at the situation in the last election and came to a different conclusion than you did, that makes one wonder...

Nope. The man was and is an empty suit. Inexperienced and naive. Anyone who couldn't see this was a "hope and change" drone.

Well, consider the alternative: a short-fused ole gaffer whose main life accomplishment was to crash five airplanes, a slavish supporter of the disastrous previous administration, a guy in shaky health already in his seventies, backed up by a bubble-brained refugee from "Desperate Housewives of the Tundra Trailers."

When the GOP threw up that Bizarro World ticket, a lot of relatively undecided voters said, "F this noise, I'm outta here."

I certainly wasn't duped by Obama. I knew full well what we were getting. Doesn't mean that you can't hold out a little hope that he really would do the Courageous thing. I'm disappointed, but certainly not surprised he is a coward. Regardless, he was and still is a far better choice than McCain.

Some food for thought:
Gold close today - $1092.40
Lowest point in last 60 days - $987.25
Lowest point in last 6 months - $895.90
Lowest point in last year - $709.50
Lowest point in last 5 years - $412.10
Lowest point in last 10 years - $255.30
Somebody look at those numbers and somehow convince yourself we don't have a big problem...

Problem is governments "think" devaluing currency is good to keep governments in power.

I agree about not being duped by Obama. I think anyone who says they were duped by Obama is an idiot. Obama was very honest about his intentions, it's just some people (mainly moderates) weren't paying attention. Now they are getting what they voted for. I just hope they fix their mistake in 2012.
