You have no idea of how America is getting screwed by the idiots in office.

Until you realize that both parties play you for a fool and you oblige you are hopeless.

First off, they aren't "your tax dollars", that is a lie. The government is broke. They are spending money we don't have. And idiots like you want them to spend more. And here's another clue for you, GM has paid in more than they have gotten back. Not like those bastards from Asia that whine and lie then send us cars that go out of control at full throttle and then demand tax breaks to "provide jobs".

You want to know why you get cars sent here? Ask the idiots in Washington why they are hell bent on destroying the dollar. They tell us about the evils of protectionism then they do nothing to the corporate countries that use protectionist policies to exploit this nation. But all that matters to them is party first, get re-elected by spending.

Bully you are just too damn funny. Anytime anyone calls you on a trolling thread you try to act likeyou are the smartest guy in the room.

I may disagree with many of your points. You can and do make valid points but when folks disagree or refuse to answer your questions that are set up like a political fund raising questionnaire you just show you want to put them down, not make a point on your own beliefs.

Not everyone in this state agrees with you. That's why we have two Democrats in the US Senate and currently have a Democrat in the governor's office. Those things might change in the next few years but it doesn't mean you are right all the time or the only one with answers.

The question is so simple even you should be able to answer it. Do you think GM should be using your taxpayer funded bailout dollars to prop up GM Opel, and keep their European plants and European workers employed?

Come on - give it a try.

Should Toyota be using Japanese tax payer money to prop up Toyota US, Europe, and all it's operations? Should the Japanese company Toyota be using European funded money to be doing anything?

Quote:
According to reports in Japan's local media, Toyota is in talks to borrow a little over $2 billion from the state-backed Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) to secure funds for its U.S. operations. Toyota, which expects to lose $3.9 billion this year, through a spokesman confirmed it is discussing the loan, but declined to discuss the details. If Toyota does reach a deal, it will be the first Japanese automaker to apply for assistance from the new emergency fund, which is tapping $5 billion from the Japanese government this month to lend to Japanese corporations that operate internationally.

But Toyota is just the latest Japanese automaker to ask for government assistance. Last month, Nissan (NSANY) and Mitsubishi Motors both signaled their intent to ask for loans from the Development Bank of Japan. Meanwhile, Toyota's European arm is planning to request funding from the European Investment Bank to finance research and development into clean technologies.

That is up to their citizens to decide if they feel its the right choice to use their tax dollars to save overseas operations.

I feel it is not a correct move to use US Tax Payer Dollars to prop up Opel. Its almost as if GM wants to lose all their customers.

When GM builds a car like Honda I will buy it. By the way the Honda Accord is 100% built in the US, can GM say that?

the profits from opel go to GM's bottom line

they should use the money to fix any part of the business that needs fixing

you can't fix the right hand and leave the left hand to rot

what a stupid question to begin with

That's an excellent question for you to pose on the WH board in Japan to Japanese taxpayers. Now - back to the question at hand.

Really - those GM Europe operations add so much profit to the GM's bottom line, that our taxpayer dollars are needed to keep them from collapsing completely as GM is unable to unload this unprofitable division.

Brilliant Nino!

so they're not profitable

news to me as I don't really care

I'll rephrase

they have to spend the money so that they can fix it and sell it

just because a business isn't currently profitable doesn't mean you can't sell it

At last - a factually correct statement in one of your posts.
