Further, far from being errors, which one might think is flat wrong like saying the sun revolves around the earth, the issues were typically issues where the judge thought Gore was either stretching the evidence (e.g., Katrina was caused by climate change) or there wasn't enough evidence to make a particular claim even if the current available evidence is supportive.

Looks interesting. What field of science does the author specialize in?

When you have multi-national companies based in the US making use of green card engineers shipping engineering jobs overseas , buying major equipment that was built overseas and designed by foreign engineers for over 30 years should we be surprised?

We also have a significant portion of the population that has not felt education, especially scientific based education was worth while to earn a good living (see MI's 35-65 population) or have contempt for higher learning (segments of the religious right) so we get what we deserve.

India, China, Japan and Eastern European countries make their technical universities the most coveted schools to gain entry. Here in the US we have the same corporations who spend millions to convince us Global Climate Change is a myth and import workers or export jobs complain because their corporate tax rates are too high.

So we have a population that minimizes the importance of scientific study and political culture that is willing to spend billions per year in places like Iraq and squeals like stuck hogs when they are asked to raise taxes so we can reduce the cost of higher ed to our population.
