People's Facebook status... God related

So, one of my wifes friends posts this on the Facebook status..

"Let's see how many people on fb aren't ashamed to show their love for God and admit that Jesus is their Savior. We need to get God back in America. If you're not ashamed, copy and paste this in your status"

Was I wrong to say that " 'God' has never been in America, and that it was specifically left out with the separation of church and state"

I know, I know, I just picked a fight that I didnt really need to, but it irritates me.

Comments?

I love how he assumes the only reason somebody wouldn't want to copy and paste that into their status is because they're "ashamed" to show their love of God.

People put the stupidest stuff in their facebook status, or I get 25 zillion notifications that they found mystery eggs in Farmville.

The best option....the hide button. Works wonders.

I am not personally religious, but I am not offended in any way by people professing their beliefs on Facebook. You do have the option to ignore you know.

No different than people who have any other political status, or status about a personal belief.

It does get rather annoying when relatives are "giving all the glory to Him" and **** like that in their status all the time. I'm glad I managed to escape that trap

Some of my wife's friends from work came to our Halloween party, and one of their husband's got rather pissed because I was making fun of how much Tim Tebow's loves jesus. Dude - you came to the wrong house!

Considering everything on Facebook is private action as opposed to state action, your post really didn't make much sense.
