Staudt on Sports also spoke with Cincinnati transfer Trevor Anderson who is looking to contribute on the Michigan State defensive line. Another Anderson (no relation) who is vying for playing time is backup running back Andre Anderson. He is hoping to emerge as the backup to senior Javon Ringer at running back next fall and had a 97 yard touchdown run against the #2 defense on Saturday.

Michigan State football head coach Mark Dantonio spoke with WILX News Ten Sports about players who have caught his eye during MSU spring practices. Michigan State could start as many as 7 seniors next fall, but Dantonio also said that as many as 5 true freshmen may get significant minutes.
